Areas of Application 

• UltraTech Fixoblock is recommended during masonry wall preparation for joining all types of Autoclave Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks and fly ash bricks.

Method of Application

Surface Preparation

• Prepare the surface before the application of UltraTech Fixoblock by removing oil, bond inhibiting agents, dirt, dust and laitance using wire brush.
• Wet the blocks, bricks, concrete blocks before application of UltraTech Fixoblock to avoid any abrupt absorption of water from the material. 

Mixing

• UltraTech Fixoblock requires 25% potable water by weight of material.
• Add UltraTech Fixoblock to the measured quantity of water and mix using a mechanical stirrer for 2-3 minutes to ensure a consistency free of lumps.
• Mix only the required quantity of material which can be consumed within the 1 hour pot life and do not add more water than the prescribed water ratio to the already mixed UltraTech Fixoblock. 

Application

• It is recommended to apply UltraTech Fixoblock with notch trowel for attaining uniform thickness of 3 mm consistently.
• Avoid using UltraTech Fixoblock in watery consistency (slurry form) so that generation of air voids between the AAC Blocks and development of cracks can be prevented.
